What this policy covers
This policy covers our website at simpliqity.com, emails and messages you send us, and our dealings with clients, suppliers and other business contacts.
Information we collect
When you visit our website
Our website does not have accounts, forms, analytics or advertising. Like all websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you requested and the time of the request. These logs are used only to keep the website running and secure.
When you contact us
If you email us, message us on WhatsApp or message us on social media, we receive your name, contact details (including your phone number if you use WhatsApp) and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use this to reply to you and to keep a record of our conversation.
When you work with us
If you are a client, supplier or other business contact, we hold the contact details and correspondence needed to deliver our work, manage the relationship, and meet our accounting and legal obligations.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- Running and securing the website – our legitimate interest in providing a reliable, secure website.
- Replying to enquiries – our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- Delivering work for clients – to perform our contract with you, or take steps you have asked for before entering into one.
- Keeping business and financial records – to comply with our legal obligations, such as tax and company law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Cookies
Our website does not set any cookies and does not use any tracking technologies. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Our website links to WhatsApp and to our pages on Facebook, Instagram and X. If you follow those links, those platforms’ own privacy policies apply.
Who we share it with
We only share personal information with organisations that help us run our business, and only as far as they need it:
- Vercel Inc., which hosts our website.
- Google, which provides our email and business software through Google Workspace.
- WhatsApp, owned by Meta, if you choose to message us there.
- Professional advisers such as our accountants and lawyers, where needed.
- Law enforcement, regulators or courts, if we are legally required to.
International transfers
Some of our providers store or process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Website logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period for operational and security purposes, then deleted.
- General enquiries are kept for up to two years after our last contact with you.
- Client and supplier records are kept for six years after our work together ends, to meet tax and legal requirements.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict or stop using your information
- object to us using your information based on our legitimate interests
- ask us to transfer information you gave us to another organisation, where this applies
To make a request, email privacy@simpliqity.com. There is no charge, and we will respond within one month. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
